So, you’re in Greece or heading there and wondering what you can do on the country’s brilliant beaches, beyond snoozing, swimming and sunbathing?

As part of the Happening Now: #GreekSummer campaign, the Discover Greece team has come up with five more ideas to turn your Greek beach experience into a spectacularly memorable one.

Blessed with beaches ranging from rolling stretches of sand to hidden pebble-filled coves, Greece’s gorgeous coastal landscape boasts a myriad of watersports and other activities that take enjoying the beach to another level. Following all the great feedback we received after giving you some top tips on how not to be a beach bum this summer, Discover Greece has five more tips on getting the most out of the beach this summer – from turtle spotting to planning a barefoot wedding. # 1 Experience an open-water swimming safari!

Open-water swimmers can enjoy in their favourite sport while experiencing the spectacular coastlines and scenery of the Greek waters. The Big Blue swimming adventure holidays offer unique swims in the open waters around the luxuriant Ionian islands of Lefkada, Ithaca and Kefalonia.
